Simone Batra

Simone Batra is a Junior at Palo Alto High School with an extensive interest in finance and marketing. She founded The Craft of Cooking, a nonprofit summer camp teaching local kids STEM basics, which raised over 10,000 dollars in the last three years. Additionally, she was appointed as a finance intern for the Palo Alto City Council candidate George Lu, allocating and raising funds. She is also the marketing manager for Tutoring On Demand, a nonprofit organization making peer tutors easily accessible online. She is currently working on a website that simplifies stock news for students and allows them to learn more about the market.

Besides her experience in all things business, Simone has interest in a wide variety of soft skills, particularly in leadership. She has been on Palo Alto High School’s Student Government as a Spirit Commissioner as well as the Sophomore Class Senator & Treasurer, and is currently a Wellness Liaison. Moreover, she is the founder and president of Palo Alto High School’s Connect 2 Volunteer Club, and helped over fifty high schoolers find volunteer opportunities within the first semester of its founding.

Simone’s interest in finance, marketing, and leadership has driven her to join Focus Forward as the Events Coordinator. She strives to create a space in which other high schoolers can get inspired and involved in the world of business.
